Online Returns Are Rising—See Which Countries Lead the Trend
A new report from Statista highlights how common online returns have become worldwide, with significant variations by country. The data shows that India leads the world in online returns, with 81% of internet users reporting that they had returned an item purchased online in the past 12 months. China follows with 66%, while Germany (54%), the U.K. (50%), and the U.S. (48%) round out the top five.
Other major markets also saw high return rates: Spain (48%), South Korea (47%), France (46%), Australia (44%), Brazil (43%), and South Africa (40%) all reported substantial shares of online shoppers sending products back.
