US-based transatlantic operator King Ocean Services is once again offering a weekly direct service connection between the US (Florida) and Venezuela with a four-day transit time.
The operator is offering a weekly service calling at Port Everglades, La Guaira, Puerto Cabello, Barranquilla, Port Everglades with coverage of La Guaira alternating with Puerto Cabello. Two recently chartered ships are used in the loop, the 966 teu HOHEPLATE and the 864 teu RAINER D., which left Port Everglades on December 11.
King Ocean previously connected the US to Venezuela with its Florida-Netherlands Antilles-Colombia service, but regular coverage of Venezuelan ports had ceased. Meanwhile, the Barranquilla call was changed to US-Venezuela service.
Kind Ocean believes in the development of exchanges with Venezuela in the future, having also started a Colombia-Venezuela service in August, using the 665 teu multipurpose cargo ship FWN BONAFIDE.
