Bibby Marine selects new yard for electric CSOV newbuild
UK shipowner Bibby Marine has found a new shipbuilder in Spain for its electric commissioning service operation vessel (eCSOV).
The contract for the innovative eCSOV has been moved from Gondan Shipbuilders to shipyard Armon after the project timelines were unable to be fulfilled, the company told Splash.
The original deal revealed last May was supposed to see the vessel built at Gondan’s Asturias for delivery in 2026. The newbuilding project will now move forward at Armon, with delivery scheduled in 2027.
