Edmund Zagorin: If the new presidential administration follows the “America First” agenda, we can anticipate policies that incentivize reshoring and domestic production to be a priority. Regulatory reforms, tax breaks, and trade restrictions against foreign competitors to domestic producers could be strengthened to reinforce this push for reshoring.
