Watch: Iran Shows Off Its Secret Underground Naval Base In The Persian Gulf

Iran has revealed a new underground naval base in the Persian Gulf, just days before U.S. President-elect Donald Trump begins his second term.

The base is 500 meters below the surface and is designed to house missile-equipped vessels, including radar-evading speedboats capable of launching cruise missiles.

The exact location of the base is not disclosed, but it is reportedly situated in Iran’s strategic southern waters, including the Gulf, the Strait of Hormuz, and the Gulf of Oman. These waterways are critical for global oil trade.

State-run Iranian television aired footage of General Hossein Salami, the head of Iran’s Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC), inspecting the base during military exercises.

He confirmed that the base is one of several underground facilities designed to house vessels capable of launching long-range missiles and conducting distant warfare.

Salami, speaking to the nation, said that Iran’s young people are ready to defend the country, regardless of the size of the enemy.
