Danish shipping giant Norden is bolstering its project cargo business with a pair of multipurpose vessels set to deliver in 2026.

The Jan Rindbo-led owner and operator, which entered the project cargo segment in 2023, will charter in the 17,500 dwt units, with purchase options attached to the deal, but also has a choice to add two more vessels in 2027.

The two firm MPPs will take Norden’s fleet of specialised vessels dedicated to transporting windmill components, large-scale batteries, industrial plant components and break-bulk cargoes to 45.
