Wallenius Wilhelmsen seals deal for Gothenburg terminal
Norwegian car carrier player Wallenius Wilhelmsen has reached an agreement to take over the terminal operations at Sweden’s Gothenburg port from February 2026.
The Oslo-listed company said its aim is to develop Scandinavia’s largest port for vehicles, acting as an integrated supply chain partner and transforming the terminal into a one-stop shop for all carriers and customers.
A newly established, independent special purpose company will operate the vehicle and roro terminal. As part of the 12-year concession, Wallenius Wilhelmsen has committed to investing nearly €6m to modernise the terminal’s areas, buildings, and infrastructure.
