CFS Launches Trinidad-Guyana Transport Service

CMA CGM adds St Laurent du Maroni call to the Guyanas-Caribbean service
CMA CGM will add a monthly call to the port of St Laurent du Maroni in French Guiana to its weekly ‘Guianas – Caribbean 2’ service this month.
The extended service will call at Port of Spain, Georgetown, St Laurent du Maroni, Port of Spain, using the existing vessel on the circuit, the 167 teu CEDRIC K.
The service will continue to connect in Port of Spain with CMA CGM’s ‘NEFGUI’ Europe – Guyana-North Brazil service, operated jointly with Marfret, as well as with other world destinations offered by CMA CGM’s long-distance network.
St Laurent du Maroni is a small, shallow-draft port located on the Maroni River near the border with Suriname, 161 miles northwest of Degrad des Cannes (Cayenne), the main port of French Guiana. It mainly attracts calls by general cargo and multi-purpose vessels, such as those deployed by the French operator Soreidom with its Europe-Caribbean and Guyanas bulk cargo service.
