Nike Enters Biofuel Agreement with CMA CGM

Renowned sportswear brand Nike has entered into a partnership with CMA CGM to procure sustainable biofuel for 36% of its shipping volumes with the carrier, effective from July. The agreement, set to continue until the conclusion of May 2025, is anticipated to result in a reduction of Nike’s CO2 emissions by 25,000 tons during this period. This collaboration aligns with the ACT WITH CMA CGM+ initiative launched by the French group in 2020, offering clients low-carbon solutions to minimize their carbon footprint. These solutions involve utilizing alternative energies like biofuel, LNG, and biomethane, along with offsetting residual emissions through environmental projects.
