Largest-Ever Container Ship Arrives at Port of Charleston, Sets Record

The Port of Charleston welcomed its largest-ever container ship this week as the OOCL Iris docked at Wando Welch Terminal, setting a new record for the port. The massive vessel, which measures 1,204 feet long and can carry 16,868 TEUs, surpassed the CMA CGM Marco Polo, which held the previous record with a 16,022 TEU capacity.
