Kardex, Paccurate Team Up to Reduce Waste in Warehouse Packing

Kardex and Paccurate are partnering to help warehouses cut shipping costs and reduce waste. The companies are integrating Paccurate’s cartonization software into Kardex’s FulfillX system, making it easier for businesses to pack orders with the right-sized boxes and eliminate unnecessary packaging. The companies will showcase their collaboration at ProMat 2025.

“By integrating Paccurate’s cutting-edge cartonization technology with our warehouse automation solutions, we are empowering businesses to reduce costs and increase efficiency like never before,” said Mitch Hayes, President of Kardex AutoStore. “This collaboration underscores our commitment to innovation and sustainability in warehouse execution.”

The integration works by automatically determining the best-sized box for each order. Paccurate’s software considers weight, dimensions, and shipping rates and then generates packing instructions. Kardex’s FulfillX software translates those instructions into real-time visuals for warehouse workers at AutoStore ports, helping them pick and pack orders faster and with greater accuracy.

With more businesses looking for ways to lower transportation costs, Paccurate CEO James Malley sees this partnership as a game-changer. “Partnering with Kardex allows us to bring cost-aware cartonization to a wider audience and make a meaningful impact on fulfillment operations. Together, we are solving a critical industry challenge—eliminating waste while optimizing efficiency.”

The integration brings several key benefits for warehouses, including:

  • Less empty space in packages, reducing void fill and material waste
  • Lower shipping costs by choosing the right box size every time
  • Faster packing workflows, eliminating unnecessary steps
  • A better unboxing experience for customers with properly sized packaging

This is just the beginning of the partnership. Kardex plans to integrate PacSimulate, Paccurate’s simulation tool, to help businesses optimize storage and inbound processes. The companies are also working on new strategies to enhance AutoStore grid efficiency and streamline putaway operations.

With shipping costs on the rise, Kardex and Paccurate’s collaboration is giving warehouses the tools to pack smarter, ship cheaper, and reduce waste—all while improving fulfillment speed and efficiency.
