Italy records rail freight drop in 2024

The past year has not brought major success to Italian rail freight. The first estimates are counting on a loss of around one million train-kilometres compared to the year prior.

The drop in driven train-kilometres in the freight sector was reported by Giuseppe Rizzi, general director of rail freight association Fermerci, write Italian media.
