IAG Cargo Expands Global Network with Strategic Route Reintroductions for Summer 2025

IAG Cargo, the freight arm of International Airlines Group (IAG), has unveiled its summer 2025 flight schedule, featuring expanded services to various locations in Asia, North America, and South America.

A standout feature is the revival of daily flights connecting Kuala Lumpur (KUL) with London heathrow (LHR), set to kick off on April 1, 2025. These flights will be operated using a B789 aircraft. Additionally, IAG Cargo will bring back thrice-weekly routes to San Francisco (SFO) from both Madrid (MAD) and Barcelona (BCN).

The North American market will see a notable increase in capacity. Flights from Dublin (DUB) to Denver (DEN) are making a comeback alongside enhanced services on popular routes like Chicago (ORD),Vancouver (YVR),and Washington D.C. (IAD) departing from London Heathrow.

In Latin America, demand is driving an increase in flights from Madrid to Rio de Janeiro (GIG), rising from four to six weekly trips. The Asia-Pacific and Middle Eastern networks are also set for more frequent service; as a notable example, flights between London Heathrow and Doha will jump from seven to twelve per week while Tokyo’s connection with London Heathrow expands from ten to fourteen weekly flights.

Camilo Garcia Cervera, Chief Sales and Marketing officer at IAG Cargo shared his thoughts on the upcoming schedule: “Our summer 2025 lineup showcases significant capacity growth across vital global markets. We’re excited about resuming operations in Kuala Lumpur, Denver, and San Francisco while enhancing our offerings into North America and beyond.”

Cervera added: “From shipping tech components to pharmaceuticals or fresh produce through our specialized transport solutions—our clients can rely on us for timely deliveries worldwide.”

IAG Cargo maintains robust capacity across all six continents through major hubs located in London, Madrid, Dublin, and Barcelona. From London alone, they provide over 600 wide-body services each week! Dublin acts as a crucial transatlantic hub with more than 80 wide-body rotations weekly while Madrid and Barcelona collectively offer over 240 connections each week targeting North America as well as Latin America.
