Goodyear has introduced the Cooper WORK Series Regional Haul All-position 2, a SmartWay-verified commercial truck tire designed for superregional and less-than-truckload fleets.
SmartWay is an Environmental Protection Agency program through which the agency collaborates with freight companies to reduce emissions.

The new tire is built for use in high-scrub environments, with a tread compound intended to improve fuel efficiency and extend mileage. It features a scrub guard compound to reduce wear, a five-rib tread design for even distribution and stone protector ledges to help prevent casing damage. A Cooper Wear Square indicator allows for a visual assessment of tread life.

Joe Burke, vice president of North America Commercial at Goodyear, said the tire is designed to meet shifting demands in the trucking industry. “The superregional category is evolving with shorter routes between shipping hubs and a focus on improving efficiency by being closer to last-mile delivery fleets,” Burke said. “The new Cooper WORK Series RHA 2 helps address these needs by combining a longhaul tread with a scrub guard compound, creating a tough tire that can handle everything from long trips to urban traffic.”
