China retaliates with tariffs, but Canada and Mexico enjoy a reprieve
Donald Trump’s use of tariffs for leverage and ‘deal-making’ was made clear yesterday when US tariffs set to be imposed on Canada and Mexico today were postponed, following security pledges from the two countries.
China, however, was not spared – and retaliated with a broad package of measures after an additional 10% was added to tariffs for Chinese imports….
