This initiative kicked off at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) on March 18, 2025, uniting key players in the maritime sector to foster innovation and establish global benchmarks for autonomous navigation and reducing carbon footprints.

The consortium will benefit from Avikus’ innovative HiNAS Control system—an AI-driven solution aimed at boosting safety and efficiency in maritime operations. This technology is a testament to avikus’ mission to transform how vessels operate while aligning perfectly with the consortium’s goals.

Dohyeong Lim, CEO of Avikus, expressed enthusiasm about this collaboration: “Working alongside respected organizations like MIT and ABS allows us to influence future standards for autonomous shipping. Additionally, Innovation Members like Dorian LPG and Singapore Maritime Institute showcase its international scope.
