Adora Magic City: China’s First Homegrown Cruise Ship Celebrates Milestone of 100 Successful Journeys

The Adora Magic City, a cruise ship built in China, celebrated its 100th voyage in Shanghai on Monday.
since its launch in 2024, the vessel has welcomed over 350,000 passengers from both domestic and international backgrounds. This success is attributed to its distinctive cultural tourism approach that features elements such as folk music, local operas, and tea culture.
The cruise concluded at 6 a.m., docking at the Shanghai Wusongkou International Cruise Terminal.
A young boy shared his excitement about the ship’s impressive slides, gardens, and swimming pools when asked what he enjoyed most.
Another passenger expressed her satisfaction with the experiance and mentioned her desire to bring her parents aboard for future trips.
To ensure safe and efficient operations of the Adora Magic City, Shanghai’s Maritime and Border Inspection Authorities have implemented a tailored management program.
Sheng Jinghao from the Baoshan maritime Safety Administration noted that electronic patrols, vessel traffic services systems, and smart maritime platforms provide crucial safety updates and weather information for smooth navigation of the cruise ship within their jurisdiction.Qiao Yingsong from Pujiang Border Inspection Station highlighted measures taken to enhance customs clearance efficiency. He mentioned utilizing a cruise control system designed to expedite inspections while minimizing passenger wait times.
The Adora Magic City exemplifies Beijing’s advancing expertise in the cruise industry. Built with input from over 1,000 manufacturers globally, it stands as a testament to innovation and international collaboration.
