Houthis Threaten To Attack Israel If Gaza Ceasefire Deal Breaks

Yemen’s Iran-backed Houthi group has warned that it is ready to launch attacks on Israel if it resumes its military campaign in Gaza and does not adhere to the ceasefire agreement with Hamas.

In a televised speech on Tuesday, Houthi leader Abdulmalik al-Houthi stated that their forces remained on high alert and were ready to respond if Israeli attacks resumed.

“Our fingers are on the trigger, and we are ready to immediately escalate against the Israeli enemy if it returns to escalation in the Gaza Strip,” al-Houthi said.

This warning was made after Hamas accused Israel of violating the ceasefire deal and announced that it would pause hostage releases until further notice.

The group cited many violations, including attacks on Palestinian civilians, restrictions on evacuations of wounded individuals, and insufficient humanitarian aid deliveries.

Hamas said that it would resume compliance only if Israel upheld its commitments under the agreement.
