Ocean Network Express (ONE) will launch a new coastal service on the west coast of South America between Chile and Peru in February. The new offer, called ‘Altiplano Service’ (‘ATS’), will connect Callao with Arica and Iquique.

It will be provided through slots in the ‘Chile – Peru X-Press’ (‘CPX’) service of X-Press Feeders that calls in Callao, Arica, Iquique, Callao.

The ‘CPX’ operates biweekly, using the BALTIC PETREL of 1,600 teu. The offer of the ‘Altiplano’ will become effective with the departure of the ship from Callao on February 1.

The ‘Altiplano’ will allow ONE to expand its coverage in the North of Chile, with the incorporation of Arica to its network.

Meanwhile, ONE is already connecting Callao with Iquique with its Far East – WCSA ‘AX1’ service, operated in conjunction with Hapag-Lloyd, HMM and MSC.

It is noteworthy that ONE will be the third major line riding the ‘CPX’, joining CMA CGM, which marks its participation as ‘Inca Shuttle’ and COSCO Shipping, which markets the service as ‘IQQ’.
