ShipLilly LATAM, an Americas-based regional carrier specializing in container services to and from Venezuela, has recently introduced a 950 TEU tonnage to its network, upgrading from the 500-700 TEU units it currently uses.

The carrier has added the 18,963 dwt IPEK OBA (Aequator/MPC 900), a multipurpose cargo ship built in 2001, capable of carrying up to 946 teu. The ship, chartered by Marshall Islands-based OBA Shipping, has been gradually incorporated into the carrier’s Venezuela-Panama service.

ShipLilly LATAM has so far been operating two chartered ships in its network. The 12,600 deadweight multipurpose cargo ship THORCO ANGELA, capable of carrying up to 706 TEUs, is deployed on a ten-day service connecting Venezuela with Panama and calls at La Guaira, Puerto Cabello, Colón, La Guaira.

Meanwhile, the 508-teu VICTORIA cellular ship is deployed on a second circuit connecting Venezuela with Panama and Colombia, calling at La Guaira, Puerto Cabello, Colón, Cartagena (Col), Puerto Cabello, La Guaira.

From downtown Colon, ShipLilly offers transshipment services to a wide range of long-haul destinations, including South America, the US, the Caribbean, Europe, Africa and Asia.

ShipLilly LATAM was established as a shipping company with its own ships and containers in 2019. It is a branch of the ShipLilly transport and logistics group, which has operated in Miami, Florida, since its creation in 1996.
