Pacific rail network concession contract expires
According to the National Infrastructure Agency (ANI), serious breaches occurred. You will have to pay $ 100 billion to the State.

A ruling issued by the ANI (National Infrastructure Agency) states that “the Pacific Railroad Concessionaire SAS neglected since April 7, 2017, the contractual obligations regarding the maintenance and conservation activities of the railway corridor, equipment maintenance and operation and exploitation of the railway network, seriously and directly affecting the performance of the contract “.

For such breaches, the contract expires and the concessionaire must pay the State the sum of USD $ 25 million, ANI said.

As established by Fernando Ramírez, legal vice president of ANI, “this agency declared the serious breach of the Sociedad Ferrocarril del Pacífico SAS for breach of the obligations contained in the Concession Contract, in addition to forcing it to pay more than 97 billion pesos, corresponding to the damages caused to the entity ”.

Likewise, according to the entity’s report, “the breach of the contractual obligations indicated in the framework of the sanctioning process for the fall of the Bridge over the El Bolo river, located in the municipality of Palmira, was declared, so it will have to pay the state about USD $600.000  for the damages caused. ”

In total, the Pacific Railroad Concessionaire SAS must pay more than USD $ 25 million to the State for damages derived from the breaches.
