WinGD introduces X‑DF‑M platform with largest ever methanol-fuelled engine

Swiss marine power company WinGD is set to deliver its inaugural methanol-fueled engine to a shipyard following successful factory and type approval tests.

The engine, a ten-cylinder, 92 bore X-DF-M, is designed for a 16,000 TEU container ship and stands as the largest methanol-fueled engine constructed to date.
